[There's an air of skepticism about him as he folds his arms, apparently debating for himself whether this is actually a thing that happens. His own hair is white, so it's not as though he finds the color unnatural...
But Gladio's hair is quite dark. He'll have to look into this.
In the meantime, though-]
Your answers are fine with me. When that guy talks, it's like I'm being lectured.
[Maybe it's the accent. He's got questions about that too, tbh]

[A round of speculative silence, interrupted by a hum]
I guess he means well, but... He talks whole in paragraphs while moving his hands around.
[At least, that's his going theory on why it's like a lecture, but don't quote him on that either.
Humans are largely a mystery to him, despite having crossed paths with some, bizarre miracle that that is]

[His friends. And he talks himself down. Human he isn't, but 9S notices a trend when he sees one. He is a Scanner, after all.
But he follows that line of sight easily enough, nodding and catching Prompto's arm]

Guess you could say it's intuitive for me. I could look at a mechanism and think: it'd make sense if it worked that way. Usually, I'm right — Scanners like me are top of the line.
[And just a touch proud of it]
So...what about you?
i love how disappointed he's going to be soon
tosses salt like rice at a wedding...
[What architectural features say about a culture's technology, beliefs, and influences... All that good stuff]
But I mean, if your friends are strong and smart and awesome, what would you say about yourself?
final analysis: solheim was cray as
undisputed fact, put it in books
Then again, having company is where it's really at for 9S]
Guess I could... [more acknowledgement than commitment] The things you said before, they aren't what those guys do. They're qualities.
[Which means he circles right back to-]
So what about you?
forever and ever
none should forget
[9S nods as they make their way up the slope, apparently satisfied with that answer. It's the word he'd have chosen, too. Good to know Prompto can see it in himself.
His attention seems to be on the structure up ahead, and he lapses into silence before he adds-]
That's rarer than you might think.

9S isn't sure he'd characterize himself in the same terms that he would his human companion, but he's easily flustered too.
It's comforting, in a way, to know that androids really do resemble their creators even if they know so little about them]
Especially to strangers [like himself] I've noticed people are less inclined to concern themselves. It's not unreasonable, but it makes some stand out.
